Sisters in the wilderness

When I originally drew my three sisters I was torn between adding an environment around them or just leaving them as the were and in the end decided they would be fine floating by themselves. After I printed them I decided however to add some work to them and doing so without resensitizing my stone. It was obvious from the moment I started drawing that it wouldn’t work as well as it could with a fresh stone, the ink and crayons sort of just sat on top of the stone and didn’t seem to sink in. But I gave the stone a good blast with a hot hairdryer and left it for a couple of weeks.

It didn’t turn out too bad at all. The lithographic ink and hard crayons I had used turned out beautifully but unfortunately the softer crayons didn’t fair as well.

Not too bad eh?
